Overview
The present invention relates to a novel organotin(IV) complex: 5,5'-((dibutylstannanediyl) bis(oxy) bis(1-hydroxyethane-2,1-diyl)) bis(3,4-dihydroxyfuran-2(5H)-one which exhibits a good antimicrobial potency against different gram positive and gram negative bacteria as well as against different fungal strains. It also has the ability to affect the antisense effect and inhibit the destroying of mRNA strand. Therefore, the organotin(IV) complex of the present invention could be used as antibacterial, antifungal or anticancer agent.
