Nanoheterostructure composite for sensing metformin

The present invention relates to an electrochemical senor comprising Prussian blue (PB) nanocubes-carbon nanospheres heterostructure modified electrodes for sensing Metformin. The highly-sensitive metformin (Mf) sensor is composed of perfectly cube and spherical composite of PB nanocubes-carbon nanospheres fabricated on fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) surface. The sensor uses electrochemical sensing method like voltammerty and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) technique for fast and sensitive detection of Mf. The sensor shows excellent reproducibility, high selectivity and long-term stability. The sensor is used to determine Mf level in spiked urine samples.
