Overview
The present invention relates to a two stage treatment process for complete decolorization and photocatalytic removal of organic pollutants and dyes present in real effluent of textile and dyeing industry using mild laboratory chemicals; bare TiO2 nanoparticles and non-ionic surfactant modified TiO2 nanoparticles. The process achieves complete decolorization of the effluent and generates clear water from the sludge. The process can be integrated with usual secondary and tertiary treatment processes involved in existing set up of ETPs and STPs.
