Overview
The present invention relates to an economical, solar/dynamo-powered, portable, digital microscope with an in-built DSP (digital signal processing) processor for detecting baccilli in sputum smear samples with adjustable stages. Images of bacteria acquired through the microscope is processed in the in-built integrated DSP processor which processes, analyzes and communicate the results via any suitable modes such as but not limited to USB, e-mail, Bluetooth, WiFi and GSM or any other mobile network to government agencies, pathology labs, technicians, and doctors. The digital portable microscope of the present invention can be used for imaging of mycobacterium for disease detection in rural areas of developing countries, where pathology labs are unavailable.
