Overview
The present invention relates to a novel herbal formulation used for antiovulatory activity in females. The herbal based novel polymer is prepared from Lepidium sativum and the novel drug is also extracted from the same source as a pure compound. The formulation has been standardized and has got a commercial viability with no side effects and is cost effective. The formulation consists of the drug Lepidin coated with the novel polymer and formulated into nano granules which has shown minimum dissolution time for drug release. The drug has shown 90% drug release in 15-20 minutes.
