Overview
The present invention provides a method for improved dispersion of nanographite in the polymer matrix. Poly (3, 4-ethylenedioxthiophene)/ poly (4- styrene sulphonate) (PEDOT:PSS) / nanographite nanocomposites are prepared and subjected to Swift Heavy Ion irradiation. The irradiated nanocomposites exhibit uniform dispersion of nanographite in the polymer matrix which highly enhance the conductivity suitable for electronic/ sensor applications. The prepared nanocomposite can be used as chemical vapour sensors.
