Overview
The present invention relates to a cloth iron capable of lifting the sole plate away from the surface on which the iron rests when the iron is not in use. The hot base plate of the iron is lifted in a certain inclined direction from the horizontal base. The lifting is accomplished with the use of weighted rear end of iron which shifts the center of gravity of the iron.
