Overview
The present invention provides a process for the development of amperometric biosensor for bile acid estimation by co-immobilizing 3-alpha hydroxylsteroid dehydrogenase and lipoyl dehydrogenase enzymes. The enzymes are immobilized on polymeric membrane through covalent coupling along with substrate, mediator and nonionic-surfactant. The bile acid estimating biosensor may have possible applications for testing of biological samples for liver disorders
